Liquid Guard® has now been tested for efficacy against SARS-CoV-2 virus.
This report adds to existing tests against TGEV Coronavirus and Feline Coronavirus certification. This serves as further evidence of Liquid Guard®’s efficacy against enveloped viruses. More testing on SARS-CoV-2 is planned for early 2021.
It looks very likely that pandemic restrictions will be part of our lives far into 2021 and the proven antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-2 that Liquid Guard® has demonstrated will cement its vital role in the fight against the transmission of transient microbes, especially in high touch areas that are hard to clean between “touches”.
Liquid Guard is certified to kill TGEV-CORONAVIRUS.
This is a model virus of the SARS-CoV-2 strain of Coronavirus which causes Covid-19 disease. Both these strains fall within the “enveloped virus” category. The UK Government has recommended that treatments that are effective against enveloped viruses are suitable to be used in protection against COVID-19
SARS-CoV, SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza A are all enveloped viruses which means they have a protective membrane. Liquid Guard is effective against these types of viruses because the nano spikes puncture the membrane causing a physical kill.
“SARS-CoV-2 is an enveloped virus. This means that the virus has an outer protective lipid coat. Anything that effectively disrupts this outer membrane, in turn, can kill the virus,”

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has stated that; Products that have demonstrated efficacy against a different human coronavirus similar to SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19); and products that EPA has approved for use against select pathogens that are harder to kill than SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), such as norovirus or mycobacterium tuberculosis, will work against SARS-CoV-2.
Liquid Guard® has been proven effective against TGEV Coronavirus, used as a model virus against SARS-CoV, Mycobacterium Tuberculosis as well as Influenza A.
