Liquid Guard®, the long-lasting antimicrobial nano-coating, is certified to kill the TGEV Coronavirus, which is the model structure of SARS CoV, as well as Influenza A, on surface contact.
Currently Liquid Guard® is in the queue waiting to be tested against SARS-CoV-2 at one of Europe’s leading test laboratories. These laboratories are inundated with testing requests. We are confident that Liquid Guard® will be found to be effective against SARS-CoV-2 and we have had this advice from a leading independent sanitation specialist.
As soon as we are able to confirm its certification we will publish it on this site. Currently, we do not know of any product in the UK that has been tested against SARS-CoV-2 due to the scarcity of the strain and it being unavailable to commercial testing laboratories. With this in mind, we would encourage thorough research of any claims made stating long term efficacy against this virus.
Liquid Guard® has been tested against both gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms with 99.99% of them rendered harmless, these include Coronavirus TGEV, Influenza A, EColi, MRSA and many other harmful bacterial microbes. According to the Japanese standard JIS Z 2801: 2012, this qualifies as “total kill”.
